Flying in Comfort with Starlux Airlines
I kicked things off right with Starlux Airlines’ premium economy, and wow, they did not disappoint. The seats were super comfy with extra legroom and a great recline—perfect for a long-haul flight. The food? So good—restaurant-quality dishes inspired by both Asian and Western flavors. Plus, the little extras like noise-reducing headphones, a cozy pillow, and an amenity kit made the 16+ hour journey so much easier. And the crew? Absolutely top-notch—super attentive and always making sure I had everything I needed. Definitely one of the best flights I’ve had!
Who is Starlux?
Starlux Airlines is a Taiwanese luxury airline that launched in 2020 with a mission to redefine premium air travel. Founded by former EVA Air chairman Chang Kuo-wei, the airline focuses on top-notch service, sleek modern cabins, and a next-level in-flight experience. Their fleet includes Airbus A321neos, A330-900neos, and the long-haul A350-900s, making for a smooth and stylish ride. In layman’s terms: all new planes. That’s all you need to know.
For U.S. travelers, Starlux currently flies out of Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO), and coming soon to
Ontario (ONT) in June 2025 and Seattle (SEA) in the near future. With their Taipei (TPE) hub, they offer seamless connections to destinations across Asia, making them a fantastic option for travelers looking for both luxury and convenience.
Starlux Airlines takes flying to another level with its top-tier service across all cabin classes.
• First Class (only on the A350) is pure luxury, with private suites, 32-inch 4K screens, and gourmet meals that feel like dining at a high-end restaurant.
• Business Class is next-level comfort, featuring lie-flat seats, direct aisle access, and upgraded dining.
• Premium Economy is where Starlux really stands out—it’s spacious, with extra legroom, wider seats, enhanced recline, and meal service that feels closer to Business Class than Economy. Perfect for long-haul comfort without the Business Class price tag.
• Economy Class is still a great experience, with comfortable seating, personal entertainment screens, and thoughtful service that makes even a budget-friendly ticket feel premium.

What Makes Starlux BEST IMO?
✔ Luxury & Comfort – Every class is designed with extra space, premium materials, and a more refined experience.
✔ Incredible Dining – Collaborations with top chefs make their in-flight meals some of the best in the sky.
✔ Next-Level Entertainment – High-res screens, tons of content, and noise-canceling headphones in premium cabins.
✔ Outstanding Service – Starlux is known for its warm, attentive crew, making every flight feel special.
And shhhh….If you’re flying to Asia and want a truly elevated experience, Starlux is hard to beat! And the flights aren’t jam packed., no need to worry about rubbing elbows with your neighbor or getting squished in the middle. This is a hidden gem still. Those sitting in coach were all able to lay down across multiple seats. And seriously, don’t tell too many people the Starlux secret. I
